Prithviraj is a period drama that stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role. The Bollywood star will be seen playing such a role for the first time. The film happens to be one of the highly anticipating ones to be released next month.
Ever since the Prithviraj trailer was dropped online, it started trending right away. The period drama also marks the big screen debut of 2017 Miss World Manushi Chhillar.
It created a massive buzz right after its release at the grand launch event at YRF Studios.
The event took place in the presence of media and fans. The Prithviraj trailer instantly grabbed 55+ million views across different languages Telugu, Tamil and Hindi on Facebook and YouTube.

Prithviraj, a film based on the heroics of great warrior Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan stars Akshay Kumar in the lead opposite Manushi Chhillar who makes her debut with the film. The actress is portraying the role of princess Sanyogita – Prithviraj’s lady love.
Apart from Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar, others who star in the film include Sonu Sood and Sanjay Dutt playing their respective pivotal roles of Chand Vardai and Kaka Kanha respectively.

Prithviraj is directed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi who’s a Padam Shree awardee. He’s best known for directing TV epic Chanakya along with critically acclaimed film Pinjar.
Prithviraj is slated to hit screen on June 3, 2022.
