Alphonse Putharen is counted among the renowned film directors who has contributed a lot to the Malayalam Cinema.
In the year 2015, he has given a romantic super hit drama titled Premam starring Nivin Pauly, Anupama Parameswaran, Madonna Sebastian and Sai Pallavi in their prominent roles.
After the film first hit theaters, it managed to create a buzz across the audience as well as the critics.
The charisma of this film remained live for almost over three months. It’s clear from the fact that the theatrical run of the film remained for over 250 days in Chennai region.
The film never expected such an overwhelming response from the audience. After the grand success of Premam, the audience expected that the film would also be made in Tamil language as well.
Since 2015, the Tamil remake of this film could not happen. But now, it looks like the director is considering all the option to create Tamil remake of Premam and want to cast Dhanush in the lead role.
Coming back to Dhanush who happens to be the ultimate choice of the director not just because of his simplicity but also about the way he faces the camera.
Considering all this, the director Alphonse Putharen has selected Dhanush to play the lead role in the Tamil remake of his Malayalam film Premam.
In the past, Dhanush has collaborated with the female lead casts of Premam including Sai Pallavi, Madonna Sebastian and Anupama Parameswaran in movies like ‘Maari 2′, Pa Paandi’ and ‘Kodi’ respectively.
There has been also news about the director Alphonse Putharen willing to produce his upcoming film in both Tamil and Malayalam languages. But it is yet to be confirmed.
