The shooting of ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3‘ witnessed a short hinderance when two speedboats had a collision on Friday morning. The incident happened in Greece which has been confirmed by the Greek news sites and Greek Coast Guard.
The above incident resulted in the injury of one person who was a Greek national (as per a Greek news agency). The incident site has been located to be in Thymari in Attica area near the southern tip of Greece.
It all happened when one of the boats suddenly capsized and all the passengers including crew members and actors had to be rescued at sea. Although, there were some minor injuries to the actor, they were not critical.
Reports further stated that the actor was trapped under the boat and had to be rescued with the help of a diver.
Both the boats carried as many as 16 Greek nationals along with some international actors. There were also some equipment on the boats as well. They were heading towards filming a scene that required the presence of boats which need to travel parallel to each other.
As per the tweet of the coast guard, the other 15 crew members were well recovered.
Right now, the port authorities are investigating the entire incident precisely. One probable reason why it happened because of the difference in speed and distance.
The 3rd part of the ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding’ was shot on the fourth day of shooting and production resumed after the accident.
