Nora Fatehi Joins Kanchana 4, Calls It the Perfect Entry Into Tamil Cinema

During her interaction with Hindustan Times, Nora Fatehi said, “When Kanchana 4 was offered, I instantly knew it was the right choice for my Tamil debut.

It’s a franchise with a powerful legacy, and the script brought something different. After Madgaon Express, I wanted another comedy, and this was the right opportunity.”

On working in Tamil cinema, Nora said, “Language will always be a barrier. Tamil has been the hardest one I’ve learned so far. But challenges excite me. I’ve done it before with Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam, and now I’m giving extra hours to perfect my lines.”

For Nora, the encouragement has been a game-changer. “The crew has often told me they didn’t think I’d pull off comedy so naturally. That feedback is what motivates me every day. I feel it’s important to respect the culture, the language, and always give the best,” she said.

Nora further pointed out the contrast she has experienced. “Each industry has its own vibe. Tamil films are storytelling-driven and performance-heavy, while Bollywood has an unmatched grandeur. The audience connect and filmmaking processes differ slightly, but the passion remains the same. For me, it’s all about enjoying and learning from both spaces.”

Directed by Raghava Lawrence, the much-awaited Kanchana 4 pairs Nora Fatehi with Pooja Hegde on screen.
