Mortal Kombat 2 Trailer has been launched to showcase all the action from Martyn Ford, Adeline Rudolph, and Karl Urban in this action packed movie
- Karl Urban movie basically stars Johnny Cage who is well recognized in the Mortal Kombat video game. He will appear in Mortal Kombat II trailer. Please note that Mortal Kombat II is a sequel to the 2021’s Mortal Kombat movie
- The film stars The Boys actor Urban along with some other cast members like Joe Taslim, Jessica McNamee, Ludi Lin, Mehcad Brooks, Tadanobu Asano, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Lewis Tan, in their respective pivotal roles.
- Mortal Kombat II movie is scheduled for release in theatres on October 24, 2025
It all happened on July 17 when Warner Bros first unleashed the trailer of the action packed film titled Mortal Kombat II. Well, the sequel to the film has been directed by none other than Simon McQuoid starring Karl Urban playing Johnny Cage.
If you look at the original Mortal Kombat movie, you will find Shang Tsung (Chin Han) plans to destroy Earth’s warriors so they can’t compete in the final tournament.
Once the battle between Outworld ends and Earthrealm comes to an end, Cole Young (played by Lewis Tan) discovers he’s related to Scorpion. He heads to Hollywood to find Johnny Cage, a wild martial arts movie star. It’s just to help Earthrealm.
In the later part of the trailer, it shows the fight from the critical tournament. It further showcases a condition that if Earth’s fighters tend to lose the fight, the Outworld overlord Shao Kahn (Martyn Ford) will take over most probably.
As it was expected, the Mortal Kombat movie sequel will witness the returm of Tadanobu Asano. He will be playing the role of Lord Raiden. Others who are expected to reprise their roles include Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, and Mehcad Brooks as Jackson “Jax” Briggs.
Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon revealed in a March interview that fans will see more action between Sub-Zero and Scorpion in the new movie.
