You might be aware that Naseeruddin Shah created a sensation by making a surprising revelation regarding his Filmfare awards.
In his confession, he stated that he used them in his farmhouse as a door handle. Well, the above statement has ignited a diverse reaction across the social media.
After Naseeruddin Shah expressed his memory with his Filmfare awards, Manoj Bajpayee quickly came into the picture. He expressed his admiration for the prestigious awards. He said Filmfare awards always looked like a dream for him.
After a series of controversies, Manoj has now clarified his stand in the form of a tweet. He clarified by putting an end to the potential war of words between the two actors.

This is what Manoj Bajpayee expressed to Times Now, “Filmfare has always been like a dream to me. I have grown up watching Filmfare and I used to enjoy watching it. People getting recognition is an amazing part being done there. Filmfare is like one of the biggest moments of pride and achievement. It is the most valuable part.”

Manoj tweeted, “Kya yaar ! Please listen to what I said in response to what’s my memory of filmfare awards! It was not an answer to anyone!”
The Bollywood actor shared yet another tweet stating, “Meri aukaat nahi ki main Naseer bhai se uunchi aawaz mein bhi baat kar paun! Kya-kya samachaar kahaan kahaan se.”

Earlier, Naseeruddin Shah gave an interview to a local news agency stating that he only dislikes these award shows. He also said people gauge an actor by looking at the number of awards he has won.
For Shah, winning an award doesn’t necessarily makes an actor good or bad. This is what he said, “Any actor who has put their life and effort into portraying a role is a good actor. If you just pick one person from the lot and say that ‘this is the best actor of the year’, how’s it fair?
I am not proud of those awards. I did not even go collect the last two awards I received. So, when I built a farmhouse, I decided to put these awards there. Whoever goes to the washroom will get two awards each as the handles are made of the Filmfare awards.”
Naseeruddin Shah later clarified in his interview that he has won so many Filmfare awards not just because of his performance but due to lobbying.
He said in the initial days, he enjoyed getting these trophies. But in the later phase of his life, such trophies started piling up around him. And this took no time for him to understand that these trophies are a result of lobbying.
He soon realized that he was receiving these awards not just because of his merit. This was the reason why he decided to leave them behind.
However, in the later part of his interview, Naseeruddin Shah stated that he has all the due respect for National awards like Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awards. These two awards were given to him in the years 1987 and 2003 respectively.
The veteran actor received Filmfare awards from 1981 to 1983 for films like Masoom, Chakra, and Aakrosh.
