Kalki 2898 AD Makers Sue Sumit Kadel & Rohit Jaiswal for Rs. 25 Crores

According to an exclusive source speaking to Bollywood Hungama, “Sumit Kadel has been served with the legal notice, and Rohit Jaiswal is slated to receive it no later than the end of Friday, July 19, or by Saturday at the latest.”

When producers were asked to elaborate, they mentioned, “Both individuals, known in the industry as ‘samosa critics’, have made claims on their social media profiles that the makers of Kalki 2898 AD are deliberately sharing inaccurate numbers. They have been regularly posting about this issue. Their tweets were implied dishonesty on the part of the producers.”

The source further added, “As per the legal notice, Sumit Kadel and Rohit Jaiswal are now obligated to reveal the sources behind their claims regarding the earnings of Kalki 2898 AD. They also have to provide daily revenue figures along with a breakdown to substantiate their statements. Failure to do so may result in a fine of Rs. 25 crore for spreading misleading narratives. Their reputation as ‘samosa critics‘ is well-known in the industry.”

This year marks the 2nd instance that Sumit Kadel made headlines for controversial reasons. Earlier, it happened after the release of the film Crakk, where the producer Vidyut Jammwal tweeted about him, causing the tweet to quickly gain viral attention. His tweet read, “Asking for a bribe is a crime, and giving one is a crime too!! My crime ‘is not giving???’ #sumitkadel… so every time you praise someone – we know the criminal..”
