The US box office haul during Memorial Day helped Final Destination: Bloodlines overtake The Final Destination in global earnings

 

With a global box office tally of $187.13 million, Final Destination: Bloodlines has become the top-grossing movie in the franchise and is on track to hit $200 million, primarily due to its strong third weekend.

Final Destination: Bloodlines 2nd Weekend Collection

With a strong box office opening at home and abroad, Bloodlines has raised the bar for the franchise.

It brought in $19.7 million during its second weekend in the US, with $4.8 million coming from Memorial Day alone, bringing the domestic total to $94.6 million. This makes it the top earner in the series.

Well, in its second weekend abroad, Final Destination: Bloodlines collected $23 million, falling 54.9% from the opening weekend’s figures. The film’s cumulative international earnings have reached $92.5 million.

Thanks to the US Memorial Day boost, the film’s global box office reached $187.13 million by its second weekend, marking an outstanding worldwide achievement.

 

Tops the franchise’s box office charts in a mere 11 days

The US Memorial Day earnings pushed Final Destination: Bloodlines past The Final Destination’s global gross, securing its position as the franchise’s highest-grossing entry.

The Final Destination, the fourth installment, had previously earned $186.16 million worldwide, per Box Office Mojo.

Now, with $187.13 million worldwide, Bloodlines has beaten the franchise record set by The Final Destination ($186.16 million). The $50 million film already hit breakeven at $125 million some time ago.
