Right from the beginning, Dhadak 2 had to face so many delays. But the film finally hit the screens on August 1, 2025 starring Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi in their lead roles.
Directed by Shazia Iqbal who’s debuting from this film, it released with a slow start.
In two days, the film is known to have collected Rs 7 crore. The current box office scenario is that Dhadak 2 is lagging behind Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardaar 2.
Dhadak 2 Box Office
As per the box office report, Dhadak 2 managed to grab only Rs 3.75 crore on its 2nd day. The opening day collection of the film was Rs 3.5 crore though. And so, the total collection of this romantic saga is Rs 7.25 crore.
It’s not uncommon to say newly released films have to face tough competition after they are released. But here the situation is quite different. Both Dhadak 2 and Son of Sardaar 2 were released almost at the same time.
But looking at the box office report, the overall collection of Dhadak 2 is going less than Ajay Devgn’s action drama. While Dhadak 2 only managed to collect Rs 7.5 crore, Son of Sardaar 2 grabbed a whopping Rs 14.5 crore in a span of 2 days (as per Sacnik).
Saiyaara, on the other hand has entered into its 2nd week and still going strong in terms of the box office collection. Well, the figures say it all.
The box office report says Saiyaara is all set to cross the Rs 300 crore mark this Sunday. Another film titled Mahavtar Narasimha is also performing well and has entered into its 2nd week.
Dhadak 2
Dhadak 2 basically narrates the romance between Nilesh, a Dalit law student, and Vidhi, an upper-caste girl from his class.
Since both of them are romantically attached t oeach other, they have to protect their relationship from the barrier of casteism.
Even before the release, the film attracted some positive reviews both from the fans and critics. The film is known to be the adaptation of Periyarum Perumal.
