Demi Moore Recalls Tom Cruise’s Awkward Reaction to Her Pregnancy On A Few Good Men Sets

While working with Hollywood star Tom Cruise on the sets of A Few Good Men, Demi Moore has shared her experience where she reveals that Cruise embrassed by her pregnancy at that time

It all happened when Hollywood movies star Demi Moore recalled one of the memorable incidences when she got a chance to work with Tom Cruise in the making of A Few Good Men.

The actress narrated her experience to Jia Tolentino who’s a writer on October 25. In her interview, she revealed that she was almost 8 month pregnant with her daughter named Scout Willis. It was when the film was at the production stage itself.

Moore revaled her experience and stated, It seemed Tom was a little embarassed regarding my condition and I felt oklay about it. Although, I was moving around, but I guessed that he felt it quitge awkward.”

As the actress pointed out, Cruise’s reaction seemed consistent with the social norms of that time, especially when Hollywood seldom saw women working on major films during pregnancy.

It was the time when Demi Moore happened to be among a few Hollywood actresses going through motherhood stage and dealing with a high profile career at the same time.

According to her, it was something that didn’t relate to her in any way. So, she decided to challenge it by wondering aloud, “Why not? Why can’t we have both?” The Substance star confessed that she often burdened herself with the task of showing that women have also the right to take care of their profession while nurturuing their families.

Demi Moore Reflects On Managing Pregnancy While Juggling Film Roles

In her conversation, Moore claimed that she manged to overachieve her life goals that was to balance her work committment with pregnancy. She said, “When I look back, I was thinking a weired thing”. She was simply reacting on the hurdles of rehearsing while managing with her pregnancy.

The actress also recalls the time when she had to block scenes right after giving birth. And here the actress further states that Hollywood now plays a more supportive role for mothers compared to what she had to face in the early 1990s.

How Expectant Mothers Can Stay Active Before Childbirth

Demi Moore played the role of a Navy Lawyer in A Few Good Men. As per the actress, she remained active most of the time during her pregnancy.

Moore further stated that she get into military form led him to expect far more from his training than was realistic. This is what she said, “The day my water broke, I’d already hiked for hours, danced the night away at a reggae club, which explains her early arrival by two and a half weeks,” she joked

Moore now feels that these days, younger actresses no longer have to prove themselves in the way she had to. She now believes that entertainment industry simply allows women to cherish motherhood while chasing ambition freely, without any guilt.
