As per the latest update, Deadpool and Wolverine, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, has sold around 130,000 tickets in the top three national chains Cinepolis, PVR, and INOX for opening day alone.
The action-comedy, which is bound to showcase the return of the iconic Wolverine character, is expected to have an impressive opening in India.
Given the advance booking trend, the film is likely to earn around Rs 20 crore on its first day, making it one of the biggest openers of the year in India.
Early reviews from the West have been highly positive, and if the same word of mouth grows in India, the film could perform well in theaters until the Independence Day releases.
