‘Aquaman 2’, ‘Flash’ Among Many Other Hollywood Films Delayed

Aquaman 2‘, ‘The Flash, ‘Black Adam’, ‘Shazam 2’ and ‘Wonka are some of the Hollywood films that are reported to be delayed. It all happened after Film production company decided to delay the release dates of these films.

Films like ‘The Flash’, ‘Lost Kingdom’ and ‘Aquaman’ are some of the films that have been pushed back from 2022 to 2023. The major reason why these films are delayed is because of COVID induced production.

As per the latest Hollywood news, the Jason Momoa-starring sequel has been pushed back by the makers from December 16, 2022, to March 17, 2023.

Ezra Miller’s Flash is also being reported to be pushed back from November 4, 2022, to June 23, 2023.

Dwayne Johnson starrer ‘Black Adam’ is also being pushed back to about 3 months to October 21, 2022.

Another Hollywood entertainer ‘DC League of Super-Pets’ will now release on July 29, 2022. Earlier, this film was scheduled for release on May 20, 2022.

Another film titled ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’ has been moved a few months ahead.

Take a look at what Warner Bros. president of domestic distribution has to say, “We’re thrilled to bring ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’ to audiences as a Christmas gift this year,” he said.

He further stated that families of all ages are expected to enjoy the film.

Apart from the above, there are some non superhero films that are also being moved from their original dates of release dates. For example, ‘Wonka’ has been pushed back from March 17, 2023, to December 15, 2023.

The latest report says that ‘Meg 2: The Trench’ that stars Jason Statham in the lead role is expected to hit theatres on August 4, 2023.

It was Johnson who first broke the news about films like ‘Super-Pets’ and ‘Black Adam’ were being delayed.

The report further says that Warner Bros. is expected to make a hot start in 2022 with DC Comics ‘The Batman‘, starring Jeffrey Wright, Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Zoe Kravitz, and Robert Pattinson in their respective pivotal roles.

With the success of Matt Reeves directed film The Batman it managed to make $134 million in the last weekend.

With these figures at the box office, the above numbers for the movie is something extraordinary. The film has also proved to be the second highest which is heading just behind ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.
