The credit goes to Nandamuri Balakrishna who made a comeback after a haul of over 2 years. The actor’s fans showered all the love to their star by making his film become highest earner in the opening day itself.
The latest report says that Akhanda has entered into the list of films with highest opening day box office collection. The action drama opened at a great start after it collected a whopping Rs 15 crore on the opening day itself.
After looking at the numbers, it looks like fans were eager to have Nandamuri Balakrishna back on big screen. It’s also evident by the positive response of the film that it earned from the movie goers. The latest report says that the film has already made Rs 30 crore and is soon going to cross the magical figure of Rs 50 crore as well.

As per the report submitted by popular trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, Akhanda has done exceptionally well at the box office on its opening day. The figures say it all.
The film collected a whopping Rs 23.75 crores in Telugu speaking regions like Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The film is said to have made a net collection of around Rs 15 crore after tax deductions.
Not only that, the film has also been hit in the rest of the country after it managed to earn Rs 1.24 crores. On the other hand, the film’s worldwide collection reached up to Rs 5.49 crores on its opening day. The film shined in United Kingdom where fans looked eager to raise slogans for ‘Balayya’ outside the cinema halls.
Akhanda Enters the Biggest Day 1 Box Office Collections List
The biggest day 1 worldwide collection of films in 2021 is marked by a film titled Vakeel Saab after the film managed to collect a whopping Rs 52.4 crores on the opening day itself.
The 2nd position was acquired by Rajnikanth starrer Annaatthe as it made a coillection of Rs 50.85 crores. The film broke as many records in Tamil Nadu (TN) region alone. The film also got a successful run on Netflix as well.
Master and Sooryavanshi stood in the 3rd and 4th place by collecting Rs 50.02 crores and Rs 39.60 crores respectively. Akhanda stood fifth by collecting Rs 30 crore world wide collections.

The plot basically revolves around a staunch Lord Shiva devotee, a farmer named Murali Krishna’s reunion and Akhanda Rudra Sikandar Aghora. Akhanda is both written and directed by Boyapati Srinu.
