Chhaava Box Office Day 4: The historic action drama crafted by the renowned Laxman Utekar starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, has received immense positive reviews after the film got released last week.
As per the latest from Sacnilk, the action starrer witnessed a drop on its first Monday, earning Rs 140.50 crore in a span of 4 days.

Early estimates suggest Chhaava earned Rs 24 crore net on its first Monday, bringing its overall total to Rs 140.50 crore net.
The action drama made a strong start with Rs 31 crore on its opening day last Friday, setting a new record for the highest Valentine’s Day opening, surpassing Gully Boy’s Rs 19.40 crore debut.
It all happened when Chhaava experienced a huge boost over the weekend, raking in Rs 37 crore on Saturday and Rs 48.5 crore on Sunday. It has now become one of the highest-earning films of 2025.
Vicky Kaushal About Chhaava
During an interaction with ANI, Vicky revealed that playing Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in Chhaava was his most demanding role so far.
He further emphasized the intense physical and mental effort required to embody the historical figure, especially in terms of his appearance and grasp of the era.
“Taking on the role of a historical figure requires a great deal of discipline, and that can be difficult. If you’re not used to such discipline, as I wasn’t, it becomes even more challenging, particularly because it’s a long-term commitment, not just a month-long effort.”
“It’s a commitment of one and a half to two years,” Vicky shared, adding, “I’m just grateful to be able to say this is the toughest role I’ve ever taken on. I hope that with every role, I continue to grow, not just as an actor but as a person.”
About Chhaava
Directed by Laxman, Chhaava is produced by Dinesh Vijan through Maddock Films. The movie also stars Diana Penty and Akshaye Khanna in their respective pivotal roles.
The music and background score for the film were composed by AR Rahman.
Vicky Kaushal portrays Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, while Rashmika plays his wife, Yesubai Bhonsale. Akshaye takes on the role of Aurangzeb, whereas Diana plays his daughter, Zinat-un-Nissa Begum.
