Alien: Romulus Box Office (North America): Cailee Spaeny’s Film Nears $3 Million Milestone

Alien: Romulus is nearing a major box office achievement in North America. The film has consistently ranked among the top five domestic releases for several weeks and is showing strong performance overseas.

As the second highest-grossing film in the Alien franchise, its latest weekend figures have further enhanced its domestic earnings. Read on for more information.

With strong international performance, the film has climbed into the top ten highest-grossing films of the year.

It Ends With Us, starring Blake Lively, is just under $6 million short of surpassing Fede Alvarez’s movie for the tenth spot. The sci-fi film saw a 68.4% drop in box office earnings from the previous Sunday in North America.

As reported by BoxOfficeReport.com, Alien: Romulus generated $1.023 million on Friday, $1.796 million on Saturday, and $1.111 million on Sunday.

With a weekend total of $3.93 million, the film’s North American gross now stands at $97.22 million. Displayed across 2,560 theaters, it is just under $3 million away from reaching the $100 million milestone, which it may hit by the end of the weekend.

Alien: Romulus has significantly exceeded its domestic revenue, with international earnings surpassing it by 123.434%.

According to Box Office Mojo, Fede Alvarez’s sci-fi film has brought in $217.20 million from international markets, pushing its total global earnings to $314.41 million.

The film, which had an estimated production budget of $80 million, has thus far earned nearly 3.9 times its production costs.
