Alien: Romulus is nearing a major box office achievement in North America. The film has consistently ranked among the top five domestic releases for several weeks and is showing strong performance overseas.

As reported by BoxOfficeReport.com, Alien: Romulus generated $1.023 million on Friday, $1.796 million on Saturday, and $1.111 million on Sunday.
With a weekend total of $3.93 million, the film’s North American gross now stands at $97.22 million. Displayed across 2,560 theaters, it is just under $3 million away from reaching the $100 million milestone, which it may hit by the end of the weekend.

Set between Ridley Scott’s Alien (1979) and James Cameron’s Aliens (1986), the film follows a group of young space colonists who encounter the most horrifying creature in the universe while exploring the depths of an abandoned space station.
