We all have witnessed Covid-19 crisis so far and they way it thrashed the entire film industry.
Amid the second wave of coronavirus, theatres were closed to operate and films started releasing on different online platforms like Amazon Prime, ZEE5 and more.
Amid such an unpredictable atmosphere, filmmakers hardly showed an interest to release their films in theatres even when they were made fully operational.
As the second wave of Covid-19 has settled down with no signs of 3rd wave, theatres are now open with full capacity.
Sooryavanshi Day 1 Box Office Prediction: The Film May Collect Rs 20-25 Crore On Opening Day
Amid such an atmosphere, Akshay Kumar’s action thriller Sooryavanshi is going to witness the first major release. And now, it would be a real test for the film and a litmus test for Bollywood biggies.
Sooryavanshi will be released on 4000 screens and arrive at a pan-India level. Most filmmakers would be having a close watch on the performance of this film as it’s the first big budget film after pandemic.
Now, the real test is going to start very soon where it will be decided as if Akshay Kumar is able to make a double century yet again. And this time with director Rohit Shetty whose last film Simmba proved a blockbuster hit.
Since the film is made with a whopping budget of Rs 150 crore, one would at least expect somewhere more than Rs 200 crore. There are different people who might be bidding differently. The real picture will emerge on Friday when the film hit the big screen.
And so, things will get settle down once Friday comes. However, sources close to the makers say that it would surpass the opening day figure of Rs 20-25 crores.
Now, if that happens in any case, Sooryavanshi would indeed be on a winning spree.
