South superstar Suriya was last seen in his blockbuster film Soorarai Pottru. Since then, he’s reeling high on success.
This time, he has announced a new film with ace filmmaker Bala. He will collaborate with the ace filmmaker after a gap of 20 years.
Suriya is known to have collaborated with Bala for the first time in the year 2001 with a film titled ‘Pithamagan. He also had a cameo appearance in Bala’s ‘Avan Ivan’ starring Arya and Vishal in their pivotal roles.
In order to make this special announcement, Suriya penned a long note on his Twitter handle. In the note he stated that Bala trusted him 20 years back. He’s the person who gave him all the identity he has today. “He has always had more faith in me than me. I am starting one more beautiful journey with Bala anna, with the blessings of my father,” he wrote.

The above picture witnesses Suriya with his father and Bala. All of them can be seen enjoying each other’s company.
On the work front, Suriya is currently awaiting the release of his next film titled Jai Bhim.
In this film, he will be playing the character of a lawyer to fight for the basic rights of the downtrodden. Jai Bhim is scheduled for release on November 2 on Amazon Prime.
