Hollywood actress Katherine Waterston is all set to join the star cast of Damien Chazelle’s 1920s Hollywood Pic ‘Babylon’.
The peculiar thing about this movie is that it has been set in the era of 1920 when there was not so much technology developed to making of films.
For now, the makers have kept almost everything under wraps as far as the next movie is concerned.
If you look at the basic plot of the film then we can say that it’s essentially an R rated drama film that is all about the shifting moment in the film industry, especially when it turned from silent to talkies.
As per the recent update collected, Waterston has joined the earlier announced star cast of Li Jun Li, Jovan Adepo, Diego Calva, Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie in their respective pivotal roles.
Chazelle has not only written the script but also directing the film as well. Babylon is all set to hit theaters on December 25, 2022 in a limited release.
Adam Siegel, Helen Estabrook and Tobey Maguire happen to be the EPs while Marc Platt, Matt Plouffe and Olivia Hamilton will be producing the film.
Coming back to Waterston, the actress was recently featured in The World to Come (2020) opposite Vanessa Kirby and Casey Affleck that got the chance to have the film’s premiere at Venice.
She was also featured in The Third Day which is a popular HBO series.
The latest is that she will be repricing her role as Tina Goldstein in the 3rd installment of Warner Bros. J.K. Rowling Harry Potter spin-off, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Out of the above films, the first two of them managed to accumulate a whopping $1.468 billion WW.
Katherine Waterston also starred in Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant that also managed to gross up to $240M WW. Some other films where the actress was featured include Paul Thomas Anderson’s Inherent Vice, Ang Lee’s Taking Woodstock, Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs and Jonah Hill’s Mid90s. All of them are memorable films for the actress.
Waterston also got a chance to star on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire.
