After the Covid-19 pandemic came into the existence, it made almost every industry stand still.
In the same ways, it also impacted the entertainment industry as well. But now, the government has given permission for the makers to complete their post production work and release their films.
Since the country is still facing the lockdown, the makers have no option but to release their films directly on the OTT platforms. The same happened with Tamil language film titled ‘Ponmagal Vandhal‘.

Earlier, the makers had decided to release the film on March 27. But after the Covid-19 crisis, they had to reschedule the film to a new date.
But as per the latest Bollywood news, it has been decided that the upcoming legal drama will be released directly on the OTT platform on May 29.
The film is directed by JJ Fredrick starring Jyothika in her lead role. Others who feature in the film include Thiagarajan, Pratap Pothen and Pandiarajan.
Earlier, the theatre owners had registered their protest against the decision to release films directly on the OTT platform. But the issue was itself came to halt after some time.
In the meanwhile, Jyothika’s ‘Ponmagal Vandhal’ has become the most awaiting film to have a premiere directly on OTT platform.
It now looks the audience have welcomed the decision as they would be able to watch the new release sitting back in their homes.
