CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) is currently handling the death probe of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
The investigating agency has already completed the first phase of investigation where it recorded the statements of all those flat mates under section 364 of crpc.
But after the final report of AIIMS, CBI looks keen to proceed with the findings of the premiere medical institute.
As per a report published in Times Now, CBI will change the angle of investigation and will register a case of murder under the section of 302 of crpc.
But first, the agency looks forward to record the statement of the main accused Siddharth Pithani under the section 164 of crpc.
The best part here would be that Pithani won’t be able to change his statement once recorded under this section.
It’s because the law doesn’t permit anyone to change his statement once recorded under the section 164 of crpc as it’s done in the presence of a magistrate.
Meanwhile, Sushant’s father also had a meeting with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar a few days back where he praised him for recommending a CBI inquiry in regards to the SSR murder.
On the other hand, the involvement of AIIMS is to make the case stronger by ascertaining all the medico legal aspects.
As per the sources, the medical team of AIIMS have already submitted the report to CBI but they still need to research more to get a logical legal conclusion.
“AIIMS and CBI are in agreement on the Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR) death case, but more deliberations are needed. There is a need to look into some legal aspects for a logical legal conclusion,” Dr Sudhir Gupta, AIIMS Forensic Medical Board Chairman told IANS.
