In the Sui Dhaaga movie, Anushka is playing the role of an embroiderer, and the wife of a tailor. She flaunts her looks in a simple yellow colored synthetic sari.
On the other hand, Varun will be seen playing the role of a tailor who also gives a simple look.
As it seems, they both belong to a lower middle class family. Varun sports a moustache and is wearing a simple rust-coloured shirt. Sui Dhaaga movie is an attempt to safeguard the interests of our craftsmanship
Dhawan decided to take Twitter to share the latest picture from his upcoming film Sui Dhaaga. He shared the picture by writing “Are you all fine to have a meeting with Mamta and Mauji? Well, you can meet them in your nearby theatres only on September 28, 2018 @AnushkaSharma | #SuiDhaagaMadeInIndia.”
As the title of the movie already reflects much to the audience, the film Sui Dhaaga is actually based on two self reliant individuals who tend to live their lives with high spirits even though they have to lead the lives of a tailor and embroiderer.
Both the film characters are seen rooted in quite an earthy town of the country. Sui Dhaaga movie is based on the concept inspired by the Make in India ideology of Mahatma Ghandhi. The concept is currently being campaigned by the Indian Government.
Both Anushka and Varun have plans to promote their upcoming Sui Dhaaga movie. They have decided to travel to a lot of places including Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Ahmadabad, Chandigarh and Indore. Not only that, they have decided to release upcoming and refreshing content from their movie at every place they travel.
As per the current updates, both Varun and Anushka would be travelling for 40 days to promote their film, while focussing on different matters like artisanship and craftsmanship at each and every place they travel. Well, this will be an attempt to not only promote their own film but also an effort to promote the local industry as well.
It will help the industry to emerge on to the surface which is not generating enough business at present, and is currently in the dire need of preservation.
It will also help to bring such kind of small scale industries into the limelight.
And this is what the Sui Dhaaga producer Maneesh Sharma has to say. As per Sharma “This will also be an effort to safeguard the tradition and history of craftsmanship in the country.
All this is to be done by the youth of this country who might not aware about the diverse and vivid culture of craftsmanship.”
The producer of Sui Dhaaga movie further elaborated “The lead pair will be visiting a plethora of places like design schools, educational institutions that tend to focus on incorporating the knowledge among students while making them skilled with craftsmanship and more.
They will leave no stones unturned to circulate the message of the film to the citizens of the country.”
