After the grand success of Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor has come forward to defend his decision of hiking his fee.

Ever since Shahid Kapoor’s film Kabir Singh received a major boost at the box office, the actor is riding high.

Well, he truly deserves the success of Kabir Singh after he successfully portrayed the role of someone who is going towards the path of destroying everything including himself.

This is due to the fact that his own girlfriend has decided to tie the nuptial knot with another man.

Ever since the film hit the big screen, it has been performing extremely well. As per the report pouring in this regard, audience continues to appreciate the film and giving all the due credit to Shahid Kapoor for his spectacular acting skills.

On the other hand, you can also sense the feeling of an entirely different section of society who has no reason but are busy to criticize the movie due to the presence of undertones of misogyny.

If you look at some of the most recent projects delivered by him, Kabir Singh has become his biggest solo movie till date. And this is the reason why the actor has decided to enhance his overall fee up to a whopping Rs 40 crore.

As per the latest reports coming in this regard, it is being speculated that Shahid demanded his revised fee of Rs 40 crore for the making of one of the Telugu films starring Shraddha Srinath and Nani.

It happened to be one of the hit Telugu films ever. But the problem rose after the actor demanded a whopping Rs 40 crore that the makers felt it unrealistic.

Now, taking in view of all the above, the Ishq Vishq actor decided to come forward to explain all the rumors associated of charging a sum of Rs 40 crore from the makers, especially after the success of his recent film Kabir Singh.

Looking at the entire controversy, Shahid Kapoor himself decided to come forward to explain his side. He said “I was required to sign the given project and receive money for that. I guess, both the makers Murad Khetani and Bhushan Kumar are the only ones who are consistently making money after the huge success of the film.

If you look at my current bank balance, it happened to be the same as it was earlier at the time of signing Kabir Singh. And therefore, I had to sign another project before reeving my final payments”. disclosed Shahid.

Kabir Singh has been directed by none other than Sandeep Vanga. The film has managed to rake in a thundering Rs 270.43 crore at the box office in a span of 33 days.

Kabir Singh happens to be the remake of one of the popular Telugu movies Arjun Reddy that originally featured Vijay Deverakonda.

In Kabir Singh, Kiara Advani features opposite to Shahid Kapoor where the actress romances with the Ishq Vishq actor.
