Rishab Shetty Says He Was Destined for Mythological Films Like Jai Hanuman
Rishab Shetty, while talking about her professional committment so far stated, “I didn’t make Kantara for money. Although, I could have done many other projects, but I chose doing Kantara Chapter 1 mainly because I felt a feeling like divine intervention. I got many chances to complete other projects but my focus was always to finish Kantata. It was my first priority to complete the project.”
At this time when Rishab Shetty has been successful in making Kantara a blockbuster, he has also been successful in winning hearts of his fans.
Doing so, he has got a great connection with heritage and Indian mythology to the kind of cinema he has produced. One more quality that Shetty has is the kind of utmost efforts in storytelling which is yet another reason to make him a great artist of the industry.
Rishabh further added to his conversation about his professional journey as an artist, “I was very clear right from the beginning that I won’t take up any other project before the completion of Kantara Chapter 1. At the same time I feel humbled that such kind of a role was offered to me.
But I now wish to break this tradition of doing such kind of roles more often. Instead I would liek to perform a general type of film as well. Being a filmmaker or an actor, I can’t stick of doing only one kind of roles and want to explore the world of diverse cinema. It clicked for me when I was offered Jai Hanuman at the right time.
In fact, they searched me for the role they offered which I couldn’t reject. I have always found such characters attracting me from a distance because I always have a keen interest in history, Yakshagana, and mythology.”
As Rishab Shetty is doing more roles in subjects like mythology, he is able to connect with culture with cinema. This has happened when he moved from doing a divine world film Kantara to a mythological film Jai Hanuman. The success of such films show that all such stories actually resonate with the Indian audiences at large to most extent.
