Raid 2 Trailer Unveils A High-Stakes Showdown Between Ajay Devgn & Riteish Deshmukh

Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 intensifies the clash between corruption and integrity. Ajay Devgn returns as Amay Patnaik, the determined IRS officer known for his fearless crackdowns on the corrupt.

This time, he goes head-to-head with a sharp-minded rival, Riteish Deshmukh portrays Dadabhai, a slick and merciless politician who expertly manipulates both people and the system to his advantage.

The trailer hints at a riveting battle of intellect between two masterminds, where the conflict goes beyond physical strength or emotional tension. It’s a strategic face-off driven by unwavering determination and ambition.

A standout exchange features Riteish’s character questioning, “Pandav kabse Chakravyuh rachne lage?” with Ajay’s character delivering a powerful retort, “Maine kab kaha ki main Pandav hoon, main toh poora Mahabharat hoon.”

This moment captures the intensity of their ideological conflict. The trailer also weaves in visual and thematic elements from the original Raid (2018), honoring its legacy while presenting a broader, more intense narrative.

Unlike the first film, which was rooted in realism and ethical conviction, Raid 2 embraces a larger cinematic vision — offering sharper dialogue, more nuanced characters, and a tone that balances sophistication with sincerity.

The cast includes Vaani Kapoor, Amit Sial, Supriya Pathak, and Rajat Kapoor in their respective pivotal roles. The film also has the presence of Saurabh Shukla reprising his role as Tauji from the earlier film.

Jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar, and brought to audiences by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in partnership with Panorama Studios, Raid 2 is slated for a theatrical release on May 1, 2025.
