Now, what’s there approach? Well, a fusion of classic and contemporary influences, effortlessly merged into something innovative and engaging.
It’s to be noted that every film release looks like the beginning of a new chapter, challenging norms and surpassing expectations.
It all happened on July 15, 2024, when NCT 127 released their 6th album, titled Walk. The album, featuring 11 tracks, includes the title track ‘Walk’ along with the previously released single ‘Meaning of Love.’

NCT 127 Presents A Mature Sound In WALK, Combining Retro Appeal, Jazzy Nuances, & Emotional Ballads
1. INTRO: WALL TO WALL
‘Intro: Wall to Wall’ serves as a striking introduction for a group known for its bold musical approach.
With great power comes great responsibility, and the group demonstrates their ability to handle this with refined elegance. The intro track is as cinematic as it gets.

2. WALK
NCT 127 infuses ‘Walk’ with a retro hip-hop vibe, building on the theme introduced in the intro track – “I’m a bit rusty, a bit dusty/I walk like I forgot how to/Don’t care ’bout a thing, I just walk how I feel like/Walking squeaky like I’m broken.”
The song combines retro hip-hop beats with some trap influences. The Korean title, which sounds similar to “Big Dog,” may imply that the group views itself as having risen to a position of significant influence and prominence. I’d say that seems accurate!

3. NO CLUE
‘No Clue’ is a based on the situation where people happen to remain unsure regarding their next move but are aware of their own circumstances. For the easygoing people, ‘No Clue’ offers a compelling mix of hip-hop and trap.
The chorus looks catchy, sticking in your mind like an earworm. The lyrics reflect a confident outlook on overcoming obstacles, embracing the notion that “this too shall pass” – “The dark clouds seem to follow me (Seem to come) / The rainbow rises again (Come on) / But look at me always, I’ll make it my way / Take a pic, after everything has passed / In the end, it’s all just memories.”
4. ORANGE SEOUL
‘Orange Seoul’ is quite enriched with classic saxophone riffs. It pays tribute to the city of Seoul, evoking its vibrant atmosphere with a radiant orange glow from the sun and the shimmering city lights.
5. PRICEY
6. TIME CAPSULE
‘Time Capsule’ offers a softer tone compared to ‘Pricey,’ with comforting lyrics that convey a heartfelt message – “Under the many blooming and falling seasons / You and I, we’ll be back / To this place again / We’ll always be here.” The vocal performance is especially impressive in this ballad pop song.
7. CAN’T HELP MYSELF
‘Can’t Help Myself’ is yet another mellow ballad on the album. The electronica-tinged chorus feels slightly out of place in a song that is mainly R&B with ballad influences.
The track offers a sincere confession about the hope for reconciliation and making amends, with lyrics like – “Memories fade away like in a movie / Or we fight and grow apart / Even if we start over / I only know you.”
8. RAIN DROP
Although ‘Rain Drop’ strays from the usual somber and ballad-like style of rain-themed songs, NCT 127’s track captures the members’ remorse over a situation that could have been avoided – “It’s too late to regret it now / I repeat to myself / The night is deep already.
9. GAS
With a title like ‘Gas,’ it’s only fitting that the song features themes of high-speed driving and intensity. The track is all about going all out and moving quickly. The lyrics, “Leave the road all the way / I’m speeding,” emphasize that the group’s path is all about progress and advancement.
10. SUDDENLY
While it still incorporates some experimental elements, it is primarily a romantic song with R&B touches. It has a cinematic feel, almost as if the members are singing in a sunlit, grassy setting with a halo effect. The lyrics, “I feel like I already have the entire world in your eyes that shine on me,” create a vivid, dreamlike image.
11. MEANING OF LOVE
The album concludes on a charming note with the summer-themed ballad ‘Meaning of Love.’ In this song, the members express the experience of learning about love together with their loved ones – “Let’s learn the meaning of love together / It’s alright even if you don’t know / I love you.” The music video simply shows the members enjoying everyday moments as they sing this sweet track.
This change reflects their accumulated experience and solidified position within their record label.
