Muralitharan Biopic Controversy: Vijay Sethupathi Has Put An End to It

For the last so many days, we have been witnessing controversies regarding Vijay Sethupathi playing the lead role in Muttiah Muralitharan biopic titled 800.

Right after the actor announced his involvement in the project, he is constantly being criticized. Most Tollywood actors, producers and directors have already approached Sethupathi not to go ahead with the film.

Not only that, some fans also want the actor not to take part in this film as it mainly reciprocates with politics. A lot has been said till now by different means.

Vijay Sethupathi had recently visited Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami to pay tribute to his late mother. He was questioned about the ongoing controversy.

While reacting to the sidelines of the event, Sethupathi confirmed that he is not looking forward to any more controversy and has in fact put an end to it.

This is what he has to say in this regard, “When you say, ‘Nanri, Vanakkam’, it means that you have put an end to something”. At the same time, he also requested his fans not to discuss the above issue any longer.

Earlier, Sri Lankan former cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan also shared his own perspective in this regard. In the statement released a few days back, the cricketer insisted Vijay Sethupathi to opt out of the biopic so as to avoid any further controversies.

This is what the statement says, “I don’t want one of the finest actors in Tamil cinema to face any kind of trouble due to me, hence I request him to drop out of the project.

There shouldn’t be any hurdle for Vijay Sethupathi in the future because of this film.” Vijay Sethupathi had replied with a cryptic post that read, “Nanri, Vanakkam’.”
