Yash Raj Films (YRF) is joining forces with Mohit Suri, a master of romantic films, for a new love story called Saiyaara. This also happens to be the first project produced by Akshaye Widhani.
Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara, Produced by Yash Raj Films, to Release Worldwide On July 18
The highly anticipated romantic film Saiyaara, marking Ahaan Panday’s debut in the Hindi film industry and starring Aneet Padda as the female lead, is set to hit theatres worldwide on July 18, 2025.
Presented by Aditya Chopra, directed by Mohit Suri, and produced by Akshaye Widhani, Saiyaara is being promoted as a powerful love story. This marks the first collaboration between YRF and Mohit Suri, both renowned for their iconic contributions to the romantic genre.
Reports mainly suggest that most of the film was shot in 2024. In February, Mohit Suri filmed a grand music festival sequence with 1,000 background artists.
As per the latest reports, Ahaan Panday captivated the crowd with his stage performance, leaving them spellbound. During the act, he even leaped off the stage to further engage the audience.
Aneet Padda, who appeared in the 2024 OTT series Big Girls Don’t Cry, was also part of this scene.
The reveal of Saiyaara is sure to spark excitement for many reasons. For one, the title is a nod to the unforgettable song from YRF’s 2012 blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger.
Furthermore, as action films reach a point of saturation, there’s a growing desire for love stories, and Saiyaara comes at just the right time to meet that demand.
As of now, July 18 is currently a clear date, with no major Hindi or Hollywood films occupying it.
All focus now shifts to Saiyaara’s trailers and music. If they resonate with the audience, the film has the opportunity to become a profitable success.
