You’re shortly going to see your favorites hosting the Filmfare Awards 2017. Well, the news is official now. Karan Johar and superstar ShahRukh Khan are invited to host the most prestigious Jio Filmfare Awards 2017. They will be the Co-host of the entire event which is known to honor and bring forward the best talent in the Hindi film industry.
The Jio Filmfare Awards 2017 ceremony is going to be held on January 14, 2017. It will be performed nowhere else except at the NSCI Dome in Mumbai (Worli). The entire schedule was announced during a press conference attended by a plethora of stars including actress Aalia Bhatt, Filmfare Awards 2017 editor Jitesh Pillai and Karan. The event will also be covered by Dear Zindagi actress- Alia Bhatt as well.
Nita Ambani, who’s the chairperson of Reliance Foundation was also among those who attended the event. She conveyed her message through video messaging and said that she feels delighted to know that both Reliance Jio and Filmfare are partnering each other and it would go a long way forward. She also hoped that the partnership is going to be a truly winning combination.

But what’s going to be different in this year’s Jio Filmfare Awards 2017? Well, the highlight of this year’s award function is going to be a newly launched digital segment. It’s been categorized as Jio Short Filmfare awards 2017and will be an interesting section of the whole event.
The winners are going to be felicitated at the event. Karan Johar also represented to be one of the jury members and shared his views about the different virtues of the digital medium. He counted the differences between a celluloid and digital platform that has been developed along with the changing times.
He said the transition from celluloid to digital segment is both an emotional and interesting things to happen as we all have seen and grew up on celluloid.
He also conveyed his likings on anything printed on celluloid, but otherwise feels that digital one happens to be the order of the day.
