Joseph Gordon-Levitt Compares Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi to A Martin Scorsese Film

He made comparisons to the works of legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese, noting the film’s gripping drama and visual opulence. Moreover, he commended the film’s enchanting musical segments, describing them as both heartfelt and authentic
Alia Bhatt’s depiction of Gangubai, a Gujarati woman forced into a life of prostitution who ultimately becomes a dominant figure in Mumbai’s red-light district, received widespread praise.
Her remarkable performance earned her several awards, including the prestigious National Award for Best Actress.
