Hollywood actress Elizabeth Olsen has confirmed that there will be no second season of the popular series of WandaVision. Well, this might be the verdict from the maker’s side but it must have really hurt fans.
This was confirmed by Olsen today while interacting with Kaley Cuoco for Variety’s ‘Actor on Actor’ session.
It all happened when she was asked by the Big Bang Theory’ alum regarding the fate of the most popular series WandaVision, Olsen simply said ‘no’. She further stated that it was actually a limited series only.
In her later interaction, Olsen revealed that with Marvel characters, nobody knows when they come alive. This is what she said, “I mean, I’m saying that. I don’t know. I mean, with Marvel, you can never say no. People die, people come back to life.”
Later, the actress stated that she would be shocked if the makers decide to renew the series.
This is what she explained, “The thing that I did learn through [my Facebook Watch series] Sorry for Your Loss and WandaVision is I love doing television,”
She further stated, “I do miss, I think, the four-five week experience of making a film and that just feels so exciting and like camp for a little bit. But I think this six-month experience of really hard work with the same people [on a show], it’s exhausting [and] it just feels really good.”
Please note that ‘WandaVision’ first appeared in the month of January on the popular Disney+ channel and managed to grab an overwhelming response both from the fans and critics. This is something commendable and happens rarely with a show.
WandaVision is basically a nine episode show starring Vision (Paul Bettany) and Wanda Maximoff (Olsen). The series showcases how both of them start believing that there is something awry in their neighborhood.
Others who star in the series except Bettany and Olsen include Evan Peters (Ralph Bohner), Kat Dennings (Darcy Lewis), Randall Park (Jimmy Woo), Teyonah Parris (Monica Rambeau) and Kathryn Hahn (Agatha Harkness) in their respective pivotal roles.
Olsen was spotted at one more occasion speaking about the show.
Take a look at what she had spoken to People’s magazine in the month of January, “No, that’s easy for me to answer. It is a limited series. It’s a fully beginning, middle, end, and that’s it kind of thing, she had stated.
Since the second season of ‘WandaVision’ is not on the cards, Olsen looks all keen to reprise her dual role of Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch to be premiered next year in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’.
