Celebrating a cherished tradition, Devoleena posted pictures from her son Joy’s Annaprashan ceremony on Instagram this Tuesday.
The ritual, which marks a baby’s first intake of solid food, also became the moment she revealed his face to fans, accompanied by a heartfelt message asking for prayers and blessings.
Posting the heartwarming images, Devoleena penned, “With humble hearts and immense gratitude, we celebrated our dear Joy’s Annaprashan, his very first holy taste of rice.” She further wished, “May Maa Annapurna bless him with health, wisdom, and endless prosperity. A cherished memory for life.”
All eyes were on baby Joy as he charmed everyone in a classic Bengali dhoti and kurta during his Annaprashan, performed as per Bengali customs. Devoleena added to the traditional vibe by donning a beautiful saree.
Celebrated in Mumbai, the Annaprashan was an intimate affair with just family and dear friends. Actor Vishal Singh, who shared screen space with Devoleena in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, was also present.
