Exciting news is in for Incredibles fans, Peter Sohn has been tapped to direct the third film, as per TheWrap, taking over the reins from Brad Bird, the visionary behind the first two movies.

While Peter Sohn directs, Brad Bird remains creatively involved as the writer and producer. Dana Murray, who previously worked on Soul, is also producing the movie.
Known for helming Elemental and The Good Dinosaur, Peter Sohn has also played a key role as an animator on films like Ratatouille, Osmosis Jones, and the original Incredibles.
Incredibles 3 was officially teased at the D23 Expo in August, with Pixar confirming the project for Disney. At the time, little was disclosed apart from Brad Bird’s involvement.
About Incredibles franchise
The origin of The Incredibles dates back to 2004 with the premiere of its first movie. The film revolves around the Parr family: Mr. Incredible (Bob), Elastigirl (Helen), and their children, each gifted with secret superpowers they must keep hidden from the world.
Superheroes in The Incredibles live under a forced retirement, pretending to be ordinary. Things take a suspenseful turn when Bob is ensnared by Syndrome, a former fan-turned-foe.
The movie’s rich storytelling, packed with emotion, laughter, and high-stakes action, led it to win Best Animated Feature and Best Sound Editing at the Oscars.
The sequel, Incredibles 2 (2018), came 14 years later and picked up right after the events of the first film. Helen becomes the face of heroism, working to revive public trust, while Bob embraces domestic life, managing Violet’s teenage emotions, Dash’s schoolwork, and Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers.
