The Krrish franchise, led by Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan remains one of the most highly anticipated in Indian cinema. However, the 4th installment of the superhero saga has faced repeated delays due to a plethora of underlying factors
Insider reports indicate that Krrish 4 is facing another postponement, this time due to financial challenges.
This is what a trusted source revealed to Bollywoodnewsflash, “The film demands a budget of approximately Rs 700 crores, but no studio is willing to commit such a huge sum or take on the associated risks.
Earlier, it was Hrithik who appointed Siddharth Anand, to secure a studio partnership for the film. However, major Indian studios were hesitant to invest due to the massive Rs 700 crore budget.
“With over a decade since the last Krrish film, studios were hesitant to invest in the project at this budget, especially in the post-Marvel era, where audience expectations have significantly evolved.”

Budget Constraints of Rs 700 Cr Push Krrish 4 to 2026; Siddharth Anand Exits As Fresh Team Gears Up
According to the reliable source, Marflix and Siddharth Anand are no longer involved with Krrish 4. “Hrithik and Rakesh Roshan recently held a private meeting and decided to personally approach studios across India to secure a viable deal for the film.
Krrish 4 will now be produced by FilmKraft in collaboration with a major studio, while Marflix moves to some other projects outside the franchise.”
The source also confirmed that Karan Malhotra will no longer helm Krrish 4, as his involvement was tied to Siddharth Anand. “With Siddharth stepping aside, Karan will also exit the project.
A fresh team will now be assigned to restructure the budget before taking the film into production. Hrithik’s position is expected to strengthen once War 2 releases and achieves significant success.”
Originally planned to commence filming in the second half of 2025, Krrish 4 now seems to have been postponed to 2026.
