Farhan Akhtar On Ground Zero Premiere In Srinagar: “Proud to Host A Special Screening for BSF & CISF Jawans”

The screening simply looked in being a heartfelt salute to the brave men in uniform and marked a fresh chapter in Bollywood’s evolving bond with Kashmir, a region once celebrated as the crown jewel of Indian cinema.

Farhan Akhtar shared images from the event on Instagram, expressing, “It was a privilege to host a screening for BSF & CISF officers and jawans in Srinagar.

This is the first red carpet film event in the city in 38 years, and it’s celebrated with the hope that it signifies the start of a new era in Bollywood’s relationship with Kashmir. A heartfelt thank you to the J&K police, BSF forces, @arhan.bagati, and everyone in the administration who helped make the filming and this event possible. Ground Zero hits theatres this Friday, 25th April. Don’t miss it!”

Emraan Hashmi, the lead actor in the film, posted a photo with BSF personnel on X (formerly Twitter) and captioned it, “With the real heroes – our BSF – and Mr. Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey.”

Ground Zero chronicles one of the most daring BSF missions in the past five decades, with Emraan Hashmi taking on the role of Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, his first portrayal of an army officer. Ground Zero is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar through their banner, Excel Productions.
