Pratibha Ranta & Sparsh Srivastava Recreate ‘Gajagamini Walk’ from Heeramandi In A New Video, Prompting Reaction from Aditi Rao Hydari

Today, there are millions of Netflix fans who appreciate the content it serves. Two shows that are going trending these days on Netflix include Laapataa Ladies and Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.

Do you know Pratibha Ranta happens to be the only actress who is fortunate enough to be a part of both of the above shows? Well, the actress has recently shown what the collaboration of a film and the show would look like after recreating the popular ‘gajagamini’ walk performed originally by Aditi Rao Hydari.

I the short video clip shared on Instagram, she was joined by her Laapataa co-star Sparsh Srivastava.

It all happened after a short video was shared by Netflix showing both Sparsh Srivastava and Pratibha Ranta recreating the iconic ‘gajagamini’ walk in their own style. It happens to be part of the web series track titled ‘Saiyaan Hatto Jao’.

Both the actors not only performed well on the song but also recreated the moment in their own quirky way. While sharing the video on Instagram, they even added a funny caption of Laapataa Ladies plot, ‘Kuch nahi bhai Phool ko dhundhne ja rahe hain (Nothing bro, just going to find Phool)”.

After performing so well on the song, the audience was filled with excitement and overjoy. Not only the audience and fans but also they received applauses from Aditi Rao Hydari, who later showered praises on them and said, “Bibbojaan certified! Nailed it guys”.

Aditi Rao Hydari plays the role of courtesan Bibbojaan in “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar“. The reason why courtesan Bibbojaan has become famous is because of her sensational walk on social media platform.

Pratibha Ranta portrays Aditi’s cousin Shama, who’s the daughter of Waheeda Sanjeeda Shaikh), another courtesan residing in Shahi Mahal.

The show chronicles the entire journey of these tawaifs during the pre-Independence struggle between the British rule and India.

It was in the early 2000s when another saga titled “Laapataa Ladies” was set in rural India. Here the plot revolves around 2 brides who finally discover themselves after initially failing to their destination in the social drama.
