The 94th Academy Awards nominations are currently going on with full pace. In the process of nominating films, an Indian documentary feature titled ‘Writing With Fire’ has been nominated in the category of Best Documentary Feature at the Oscars 2022.
The film revolves around the growth of a newspaper ‘Khabar Lahariya’ run by Dalit women. The above documentary is directed by Sushmit Ghosh and Rintu Thomas.

Writing With Fire later shows how a group of Dalit women become famous for her work towards the society. The group is led by their chief reporter named Meera. They decide to switch to online mode so as to stay relevant among their audiences.
They look keen to to investigate the incompetence of the local police force using their own courage and the smartphones they carry. The documentary shows how they listen to the issues of gender violence along with challenges of society. They also look after all those harmful practices that lead to intimidation and injustice.
The entire ceremony looked delightful by celebrating some of the best films since COVID-19 evolved. It will be held on March 27.
All the nominated films, actors and filmmakers were unveiled at a live ceremony hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and Leslie Jordan.
