Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 9 Release Date: The 5th season of the widely acclaimed Television show, Yellowstone will make its return back on November 13, 2022.

The premiere of the season has already garnered an impressive viewership of around 12.1 million, to become the most significant TV premiere in history.

Much like its predecessors, the latest installment of Yellowstone continues to receive positive feedback from both critics and the audience.

Being a fan of the show, you already know that after a streak of 7 episodes airing on Sundays, the series took a brief halt for Christmas holidays.

As a result, there was no new episode on December 25, 2022. The eagerly awaited Episode 8 made its return to Paramount on January 1, 2023. As of now, we have a total of 8 episodes from Yellowstone Season 5.

As compared to the previous episodes of Yellowstone, each of them had either 9 or 10 episodes. But Yellowstone Season 5 has taken a different approach with a total of 14 episodes taken together.

The season 5 of Yellowstone is mainly divided into two parts. The first part will have a a total of 8 episodes while the second one will comprise 6 episodes.

At present, the situation is that fans are eagerly awaiting for the release of the net part. But the sad part is that makers have not yet announced the Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 9 Release Date officially.

The return of Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 was slated for November, but the ongoing strikes involving WGA and SAG-AFTRA have caused additional delays in the premiere schedule.

 

Latest Yellowstone News

In a recent update from Puck, it was revealed that Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 had originally set its sights on a November 2023 release.

The ongoing labor disputes involving the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) have disrupted this planned schedule.

The report further indicates that Taylor Sheridan managed to finalize a significant portion of the scripts prior to the onset of the strikes.

With pre-production efforts already underway, there’s belief that production for Season 5 Part 2 can resume once the strikes are resolved.

There’s even a possibility that the strikes may reach a conclusion before November 1, 2023.

 

The Production Has Not Yet Started

As per an interview with Outsider held in December 2022, Brecken Merrill, known for his role as Tate Dutton, provided insight regarding the production status.

He confirmed no filming had taken place for the new season beyond episode eight. He hadn’t even had the opportunity to review any scripts at that point.

The shooting was earlier planned to commence in March 2023. But the timeline couldn’t be implemented as per the schedule.

Earlier, a few reports poured in this regard actually threw some light after having an internal discussion between Kevin Costner He’s known for his portrayal of the family patriarch John Dutton, and the co-creator Taylor Sheridan.

It was further reported that Costner, who recently secured a Golden Globe award for his role, expressed a desire to reduce his filming commitment to merely one week for the remaining eight episodes of Yellowstone Season 5.

As of October 2023, the production for Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 has not yet commenced. The reports say that it will be out in 2024.

Numerous rumors have circulated regarding the reasons behind this delay, including regular production setbacks, behind-the-scenes conflicts, and other factors.

According to Good Housekeeping, production was originally slated to begin in August but was put on hold due to ongoing labor strikes.

 

What will happen in the second part of Yellowstone Season 5?

Piper Perabo, who mainly portrays the popular character Summer Higgins, mentioned in an interview with TV Insider that she, like many others, remains uncertain about what to expect when the show resumes.

This is what Perabo revealed,  “There’s a lot coming. Things are on the move. I can’t wait to get back to the back half just because I want to know what happens. I personally only know what happens up to the midseason finale up to that last second, and I don’t know what happens when we come back.”

She added, “I think you can tell that things are going really south because [the seventh] episode doesn’t end at the fair; it ends with him practising that speech. And Taylor’s very good – if you’re paying attention, he’s telling you where the trouble’s coming from. I think the fact that he ends with that scene is, for those paying attention, he’s showing you.”

 

Paramount has now released a preview for the upcoming episode, though it maintains a level of mystery by not revealing much about the content. The teaser mainly hints at the show’s comeback in 2024.

The 1st part of Yellowstone Season 5, it showed the Dutton family faced increasing peril. Rip, along with several other ranch hands, journeyed to Texas to safeguard their cattle at the Four Sixes ranch. In the meantime, Kayce assumed responsibility for overseeing their home ranch.

It then had some unexpected twists where Jamie gained an upper hand in his ongoing conflict with Beth after he managed to reveal John’s involvement in murders.

Jamie always looked to have a strategic plan in place who received support from Sarah Atwood, who persuaded him to enlist skilled individuals capable of making any harm inflicted on their adversaries appear as accidents.

The upcoming Yellowstone episode looks all set to delve into the assassination plots that were deliberated upon in the previous episode.

Beth already recommended that John eliminate Jamie, whereas Sarah and Jamie have a plan to have Beth assassinated. It will be intriguing to check if his plans actually become reality in the show.

Adding it further, John is looking to confront the repercussions of his choice so as to oppose the reservation project in support of Thomas Rainwater.

There are huge expectations that Kayce will take the reins of the ranch from this point onward. With these developments, the scene is prepared for an intense conclusion to one of the most beloved series of all time.

 

Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 9 Release Date

At present fans are looking forward to have the 9th episode of the fifth season. Well, the exact release date within the summer timeframe may still be subjected to further updates from the production team.

You should note that behind-the-scenes conflicts between Kevin Costner and co-creator Taylor Sheridan have played a significant role in the delay of the project.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, Costner looks unwilling to allocate more than one week to complete the remaining episodes, that has mainly contributed to the delay.

This is what Kevin Costner reported to People in July, “We have not [started filming the second half of season 5] because of the writers strike,” he told the publication. “I think we would be if it weren’t for that.”

Paramount+ had earlier announced that six episodes of the 5th season will commence airing in November 2023.

The initial production schedule was set to kick off in August but had to be put on hold due to ongoing labor strikes.

The latest report says that Taylor Sheridan, managed to complete a substantial portion of the scripts before the strike took effect.

The pre-production activities are already in progress. This suggests that once the labor strikes are resolved, Season 5 Part 2 may swiftly transition into full-scale production.

As of September 16, 2023, there is still no official release date for Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2. However, it appears highly unlikely that we will see new episodes in 2023.

The first quarter of 2024 seems like a reasonable estimate, although the situation remains uncertain. For new episodes to be released in early 2024, the ongoing strikes must conclude by the end of September.

Whenever the show does return, viewers can expect the new episodes to air on Paramount Network in the US at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Sundays.

 

Will there be Yellowstone Season 6?

Despite its immense success and the latest season’s record-breaking viewership, it has been officially revealed that the Paramount drama Yellowstone will be concluding after season five.

Fans have something to look forward to, as a new sequel series is set to make its debut in December 2023. While no further details have been officially confirmed, there is strong anticipation that Matthew McConaughey will take on a starring role in this new series.

The Yellowstone universe is rapidly expanding with various projects. Following the prequel series 1883, which premiered in 2021, a second prequel titled 1923 made its debut on December 18, 2022.

Additionally, a third spinoff series titled “6666” is set to premiere on Paramount+ in 2023, further enriching the world of Yellowstone.

The huge fan base of Yellowstone is growing at a fast pace. After the launch of the prequel series in 2021, another prequel titled 1923 premiered on December 18, 2022.

And now, a 3rd spinoff series named “6666” is slated to make its debut in 2023. The above reflection is enough to make the series have immense popularity and success in the time to come.
