Some of the latest reports that pour in say the delay is due to some world events. And so, the creators are keeping an eye on releasing a series based around a deadly plague after a worldwide pandemic.

It has been more than 2 years since the release of the ‘Kingdom: Ashin of the North’ and over 3 years since Season 2 hit screens.

Renewal On the Cards?

We have already seen a delay in the series. But there are some positive signs that shows ‘The Kingdom’ could return for 3rd season.

It’s also due to another obvious reason that the series director Park In-je and screen-writer Kim Eun-hee, have already expressed their excitement for the show’s renewal.

One of the reasons that still spark a debate among fans is the statement of Kim Eun-hee after he expressed his desire to continue the story up to Season 10.

Kingdom Season 3 Plot

Although, the actual plot of Season 3 is still under wraps, Kim Eun-hee has hinted the chances of the origin of the deadly plague. The story would definitely commence from where it ended last.

The plot is expected to continue with Yeong-shin, Seo-bi, and Lee Chang’s quest to uncover the fact behind the outbreak. And so, it looks like the journey may easily lead them to Ashin and her secret involving the resurrection plant.

The Season 3 is likely to come up with the facts of the origin of plague. It further looks like the mystery is heading towards a woman who has some unclear motives. She’s a mysterious seller from the Chinese/Korean border.
