Wamiqa Gabbi, a renowned Bollywood actress has joined a new Dharma project. Since the actress has grabbed the film, she’s on a high note because it’s the proud moment for her to work in a Karan Johar’s film.
While conversing with Mid Day, Wamiqa narrated how it meant to her working in the project. She described the experience to be deeply personal and nostalgic.
Wamiqa Gabbi Opens Up About Her ‘Surreal’ Journey With Dharma Productions
When asked how it feels, this is what Wamiqa has to say, “It’s really feeling surreal. It’s nothing new for me as I have grown up on such type of films.” She also explained that the banner under which she will be working is something that can be rated as more than professional. The actress stated that she has grown up watching Dharma Production movies.
She further stated that films from Sanjay Leela Bhansali, YRF, and Dharma, formed the foundation of her cinematic upbringing, that makes starring in a Dharma Productions project today feel incredibly surreal.
Wamiqa further added and said “Working under Dharma Productions feels emotiona and nostalgic. I feel quite excited to see myself in an entirely different world now. Whenever you plan to watch a Dharma film, you become excited.”
The very moment reflects a well deserved experience for the actress who has spent a fair amoount of time workingf in the entertainment industry. And now, time has come for her when she intends to expand her filmography.
On the professional front, Wamiqa was last seen in Bhool Chuk Maaf. It’s basically a romantic comedy starring Seema Pahwa. and Rajkummar Rao in their lead roles.
It’s directed by Karan Sharma. The actress has alkso lined up a plethora of projects including Goodachari 2, Tiki Taka, Bhuvan Bam. She will also enact in the most awaiting Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 opposite Sara Ali Khan, and Ayushmann Khurrana which is scheduled for release next Holi.
Wamiqa has another major release lined up with Bhoot Bangla, directed by noe other than Priyadarshan and backed by an ensemble cast, with a theatrical release planned for April 2026.
