Thug Life Trailer: Kamal Haasan & Mani Ratnam’s Comeback After Suggests A Riveting Drama Ahead
After nearly four decades, Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam come together again. Their last collaboration was the legendary Nayakan in 1987, and now they return with another action-packed story.
Opening with picturesque scenes and Kamal Haasan’s narration, the Thug Life trailer introduces a boy who once rescued him.
That boy becomes Silambarasan (Simbu), and their bond evolves into something meaningful. The trailer explores themes of happiness, heartbreak, and deception in their intertwined journey.
Emotional and romantic sequences between Kamal Haasan, Trisha, and Abhirami are interspersed throughout the trailer, offering glimpses of a softer side. But soon, the focus shifts to fast-paced action.
A dramatic moment occurs when Simbu reveals his identity as Rangarayan Sakthivel Nayakar, followed by a tension-filled standoff with Kamal that hints at deeper conflicts.
Backed by Madras Talkies, and Raaj Kamal Films International brings together a powerhouse cast including Nasser, Joju George, Abhirami, Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Silambarasan, and Trisha with a stirring soundtrack by AR Rahman.
According to reports, Kamal Haasan suggested the name Thug Life, leading Mani Ratnam to create a narrative focusing on a man whom everyone thinks has passed away.
