Vivek Agnihotri’s film gets a new title

Vivek Agnihotri took to X (previously known as Twitter) on Tuesday to announce a major update about his film. Revealing the official poster, he wrote: “BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: The Delhi Files is now The Bengal Files. Teaser releasing this Thursday, 12 June 2025 at 12 PM. In cinemas on 05 September 2025.”

The updated poster confirms the film’s full name as The Bengal Files: Right to Life, a shift from its former title, The Delhi Files – The Bengal Chapter.

When asked about the title change, Vivek said, “The foremost reason is the film’s focus on Bengal. Initially, we envisioned a two-part film series with one called Delhi Files and the other related to the Bengal chapter.”

What do we know about the film

The upcoming film is expected to bring in the concept of Hindu genocide and will also explore some political decisions that were taken in Bengal in the year 1940s.
