Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri are poised to share the screen for the first time in the highly anticipated Dhadak 2. In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Siddhant discussed the dramatic rise in Triptii’s fame following her performance in Animal.

Before her role in Animal, Triptii was gaining traction as a promising actress. However, her portrayal as Ranbir Kapoor’s obsessive lover in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film propelled her to widespread recognition, earning her the title ‘national crush’ and the nickname ‘India’s Bhabhi 2‘.

Siddhant Chaturvedi reminisced about the shift in how people treated Triptii Dimri on the set of Dhadak 2 after the release of Animal. He shared a light-hearted story, saying, “While we were filming in Bhopal, before Animal came out, she would simply ask for tea, and no one would take much notice. But once the film released, it turned into a big deal—‘What kind of tea would you like, Triptii? Masala, green, or herbal?’” Siddhant laughed, adding, “I couldn’t help but tease her a bit, but I was truly thrilled for her success.”
The sequel Dhadak 2, following the original starring Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, is set to premiere on November 22, 2024.
With production by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and direction by Shazia Iqbal, the film is expected to offer a new perspective on love and relationships.
