A source revealed that Love And War has officially been pushed back from its previously scheduled release in March 2026. “The filming started on time, but delays have occurred from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s side.
The project was initially set to wrap by November 2025, but the new timeline now aims for completion by February 2026. The film’s release is now expected sometime in mid-2026,” the insider disclosed.
The delay in the film’s schedule is basically attributed to budget-related concerns. “Sanjay Leela Bhansali is personally funding the project and had to revisit the budget to ensure he could meet the deadlines.
As it’s a period film, the production requires precise budgeting to make everything fall into place. However, SLB has now secured the necessary funds and is set to resume shooting, with only a two-month delay,” the trade source added.
Well, a decision regarding the new release date for Love And War will be made soon, but the film is expected to hit theaters in mid-2026.
