A number of reports are pouring in to suggest that Aneet Padda’s upcoming release, Nyaya, will be heading to an OTT platform. The series is reportedly to be directed by Nitya Mehra and her husband Karan Kapadia.
While this project could serve as a stepping stone for any young actor, fans of Aneet might be unsettled by her choice to go digital after her theatrical success with Saiyaara.
Aneet’s Future Plans Unveiled
It has been emerged that the project was shot well before Aneet Padda became one of the cast members of Saiyaara. Riding high on the film’s success, YRF is reportedly working to build her image as a full-fledged theatrical lead.
This is what has been confirmed, “After Aneet has tasted success, YRF showcases her to be a theatrical actress. Nyaya was shot before Saiyaara, and it won’t impact the direction of her film career.
With Saiyaara poised to touch ₹400 crore, Aneet, at just 22, has emerged as a breakout Gen Z star. The studio has ambitious goals to position her as the voice of her generation, and that strategy simply relies on strengthening her theatrical presence,” said an insider.
About Nyaya
Now, as the reports suggest, Aneet Padda will be seen along with Arjun Mathur and Fatima Sana Shaikh in her OTT presence titled Nyaya. It will be a kind of fictional series based on some real life happennings.
PeepingMoon.com reports that the show was completed last year and will stream soon on a top OTT platform.
Set against a backdrop of spiritual power and legal battles, the series features Fatima as a tough police officer and Aneet as a brave 17-year-old survivor seeking justice against a revered spiritual figure.
In Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara, Aneet Padda takes on the role of Vaani, a young journalist, sharing the screen with Ahaan Panday.
Now, as per a report published on Sacnilk.com, the film has so far collected over ₹215 crore at the box office making it an unforgettable mixture of romance and music.
