As per the latest Bollywood news, renowned film producer Rohit Shetty and Reliance Entertainment has collaborated to create a biopic on the former Commissioner of Police, Mumbai, Rakesh Maria.
The film is basically a treat to the former Commissioner for all the hard work and dedication he worked on his duty. And so, the biopic will narrate all his experiences and mentored by the filmmaker.

Rohit Shetty who will produce and direct the upcoming biopic said Rakesh Maria is someone who stared terror in his career throughout. Shetty also said that his incredible life journey of 36 years were incredible.
This is what Rohit further stated, “Rakesh Maria: The man who stared terror in the face for 36 years!! His incredible journey spans all the way from the 1993 blasts in Mumbai, the underworld menace, to the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks in 2008. Feel truly honored to be bringing this real-life super cop’s brave & fearless journey to the screen!!” he said.

Rakesh Maria who dedicated his life towards society is a 1981 batch IPS officer. In the year 1993, he worked as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic). He was the one who cracked the Bombay serial blasts case in the same year.
After working as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), he was appointed as DCP (Crime) of Mumbai police. Later he became the Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime), of the Mumbai Police.
It was Maria who is known to have cracked Zaveri Bazaar twin blasts case and 2003 Gateway of India case. Later, he was given the responsibility to investigate the 26/11 Mumbai attacks in 2008.
Maria was the one who interrogated Ajmal Kasab, who was the only terrorist grabbed alive. He was credited to successfully investigated the case.
