As per the recent study conducted on the film, it has been estimated that Raazi became the first women centric film in 2018 that has crossed over Rs 100 crores in the domestic market. The film managed to collect Rs 122.06 crores.
When Raazi was first released on May 11, 2018, it had a slow start and nobody knew at that time that the film will be doing a business of over Rs 200 crore (globally). The film Raazi had managed to collect a modest Rs 7.53 crores at the box office. But at that time, nobody had predicted that the collections would sweep away everything.
Just like the film script, storyline and the work of producers and directors, a strong word of mouth also worked in the film’s favour. A positive word of mouth not only helped the film to promote at its own levels but also became as medium to become top earners of 2018.”
Raazi is a beautiful creation based on the novel of Harinder SIkka titled ‘Sehmat’. Apart from Alia, the film also starred Soni Razdan, Vicky Kaushal, Shishir Sharma, Jaideep Ahlawat and Rajit Kapur. The film was quite applauded even by critics for not displaying in Pakistan despite being a story during Indo-Pak war.
