The release of Ananth Mahadevan’s Phule, a film cantered on the lives of Jyotirao and Savitri Phule, has been delayed from its original date this Friday.
The new release date is set for April 25. Producer Ritesh Kudecha confirmed the change, stating, “We decided this morning to shift the release to the 25th of April.”
Phule, Starring Pratik Gandhi & Patralekhaa, Delayed; New Release Date Announced
The spotlight now shifts to the upcoming releases of Gippy Grewal’s Akaal: The Unconquered and Sunny Deol’s Jaat, both arriving in cinemas on April 10.
Karan Johar has joined forces with Gippy Grewal to back Akaal, a high-octane action film cantered on courage and patriotism.
While it’s expected to resonate deeply with audiences in Punjab, its powerful narrative and gripping energy could help it connect with a wider national audience. This project might just mark Gippy’s breakout beyond regional cinema.
Sunny Deol’s upcoming film Jaat is already generating buzz among his fan base, who are eager to see him deliver a performance reminiscent of his iconic action roles.
Known for his commanding screen presence, Deol is backed by strong performances from Randeep Hooda and Viineet Kumar Singh.
Viineet, currently enjoying the success of Chhaava, appears in a dynamic number alongside Urvashi Rautela, a gesture that seems to celebrate his rising popularity.
Meanwhile, Randeep Hooda switches gears from his patriotic portrayal in Veer Savarkar to embody a formidable villain, Varadaraja Ranatunga, adding a fierce edge to the film’s narrative.
Jaat is very much a solo spectacle, just like Akaal. With Sunny Deol and Gippy Grewal leading the charge, it’s shaping up to be a cinematic face-off where only one Punjabi powerhouse will steal the spotlight. Let the best man wins.
