Directed by Mudassar Aziz, Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein has delivered a modest box office performance without notable success. Debuting on August 15, it went up against Stree 2 and Vedaa, and has so far earned Rs 6.01 crore. Kumar’s upcoming projects include Sky Force, Singham Again, and others, with Sky Force potentially facing a delay.

Khel Khel Mein Box Office: Akshay Kumar’s latest film, Khel Khel Mein, directed by Mudassar Aziz and starring Aditya Seal, Pragya Jaiswal, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Taapsee Pannu, and Fardeen Khan, continues his streak of box office challenges.

Although the film has had a fair performance, it has not reached the level of success. Released on August 15, it went up against Stree 2 with Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao and John Abraham’s Vedaa.

A small consolation for Khel Khel Mein is that it has earned more than Vedaa. Since the pandemic, Akshay Kumar has had just two notable successes: Sooryavanshi and OMG 2, where he made a brief appearance.

In its first week, Khel Khel Mein earned Rs Rs 9.35 crore. During its second week, the film made Rs 70 lakh on Friday, Rs 1.35 crore on Saturday, and Rs 1.75 crore on Sunday.

Earnings were consistent with Rs 85 lakh on Monday and Rs 80 lakh on Tuesday. However, the film saw a decline to Rs 65 lakh on Wednesday and Rs 56 lakh on Thursday, based on early Sacnilk estimates. The second week’s total stands at Rs 6.66 crore, bringing the film’s overall earnings to Rs 26.01 crore.

Apart from Stree 2, Khel Khel Mein may also face competition from Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency, which is set for release on September 6. Until then, the film is anticipated to have a steady box office performance, with an aim to exceed Rs 30 crore.

Akshay Kumar’s future film slate includes Sky Force, Singham Again for Diwali, Welcome to the Jungle, Jolly LLB 3, and The Untold Story of C Sankaran Nair next year. He is also reportedly collaborating with Siddharth Anand on a project directed by Milan Luthria.

Conversely, there are ongoing discussions about the potential delay of Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force. Initially slated for an October 2 release, it may now be pushed to early next year.
