Karan Johar’s Hilarious Throwback: “I Told the Baker It Was My Birthday, Four Times a Year!”

Karan Johar, who’s known to for his charm and wit in many of his memorable films recently recalled the sweet side of himself.

It all happened during the fresh episode of Serving It Up With Sania, which is hosted by Sania Mirza, Karan decided to go into the flashback where he shared some of his sweet memories with fans.

To be precise, he narrated his childhood memories where he was obsessed with chocolate cakes.

Karan Johar recalls how a scene from Dil Dhadakne Do brought back memories of his cake obsession; says, “I told the baker it was my birthday - four times in a year!”

He talked about a scene in a fil titled Dil Dhadakne Do which was directed by Dil Dhadakne Do. The scene revolved around Shefali (Shah) who’s deeply wounded and then she decides to eat her cake.

After Karan watched this scene, he had tears in his eyes mainly because of a lady called Azra Gorewala. This lady made that chocolate cake by baking it out of breech candy. Karan shared.

Karan Johar continued with his nostalgic smile and shared,”I used to call her and say, Aunty, it’s my birthday and I just like to get that cake. I will send somebody to collect that cake.”

“Was it your birthday? “No, never! That one year, she even called my mom and said, ‘Mrs. Johar, I just wanted to let you know—your son has ordered four chocolate cakes this year, each time saying it’s his birthday!’”
