According to an update, with the help of Ankur Padhye of Padhye Group and Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), the center has decided to build over 10,080 houses under the PM Awasiya Yojana for cinema workers.
Under the above scheme, 522 houses are to be built in the very first phase. The tower originally is 16 story with loads of modern day facilities.
The present housing scheme under the PM Awaas Yojana will be such that the main gate will be named after Saraswati Bai Phalke, who’s the wife of Dadasaheb Phalke.
Ankur Padhye (builder) says that it was actually his father’s dream to provide houses to cinema workers. They have also previoly provided such houses to the poor.
Please note that the first phase of the ongoing housing scheme under the PM Awas Yojana will be completed in over 1 year. These houses have so many facilities like 320 65 square feet carpet area.
